Following the government's advice to limit social contact due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to cancel all monthly walks until further notice. The Great Global Greyhound Walk has also been postponed with a new date proposed for October. Please all, look after yourselves and your hounds.

Today is the last day her and her husband (also a vet) have the part time nursery care they need for their 2 year old to continue to provide treatment and care for animals who are sick and in urgent need of treatment. Their whole practice is already running on a skeleton staff. Vet practices like so many organisations have colleagues - vets, vet nurses, reception staff, cleaners- who are having to be absent because of illness, self isolation measure, child care losses. They can't continue to provide a service if staff numbers continue to fall. The petition is to request vets and vet nurses are classed as critical staff in this time of emergency and special measures. That way more of them will be able to continue doing their best to maintain a critical service in this time of uncertainty and massive disruption. Thx for reading, take care of yourselves and your hounds, best wishes, Georgina
