Sally

FOREVER HOME REQUIRED

Hello everyone,
My name is Sally, although sometimes my Foster humans call me ‘Silly Sally Sausage’ or ‘Sausage’ for short.
I’m looking for my forever home and if you think you are up for the job of being my person(s) FOREVER please apply and I’ll have my fosters look them over. Below is an outline of my requirements:

• Cuddles and kisses on demand – I live for the attention and devotion so new humans must be willing to drop everything to tell me I’m pretty whilst rubbing my head when I ask for it
• Chief ball thrower – my favourite thing is to chase a ball and that is not going to throw itself now. New humans must be willing to chuck the ball minimum once per day
• Provider of warmth – Who doesn’t like being wrapped up like a burrito in the softest of blankets? So new human must make sure I am cozy on these cold winter evenings.
• Wild Swimming lifeguard – This just applies to the warmer months as I have recently found out that winter swimming is not for me. However, during the summer months I like to go wild swimming. Especially if I can go in the water to fetch my ball, my new human must be willing to travel to a river or body of water to be my lifeguard and ball thrower.
• Treat dispenser – My new human must give me daily treats and on special occasions a frozen yogurt treat. These are non-negotiable terms!
• Living arrangements – I could potentially live with another greyhound or other medium/large sized dog, but think I would prefer to be on my own. I could not live with any small dogs/furries or cats, the temptation to chase is too strong.

Note from Foster humans:
Sally is an amazing 4 year old black girl, coming in at just under 30kg. She is a little love bug and a bit of a goof ball. She surprised us by launching herself into the river on her first week with us and from there demanding to go swimming every day when the weather was warmer, we never knew Greyhounds could swim and not just toe dipping! She will fully retrieve the ball back and wait to you throw it back in.

When we first got her she was a little unsure of other dogs but has come a long way in her confidence and now has 2 new doggy friends she visits and plays with often. Sally has taken to Café dog life with ease, as a couple who enjoy going to get coffees and breakfast, Sally has settles to snoozing on a blanket on the floor until we are ready to leave.

Working from home often, she is a perfect office companion and like to lie out on the couch with all four legs in the air (watching us work is hard work). Sally hasn’t been left on her own much (more down to our working arrangements) but we are working with her to build up the time alone, so she gets used to it for short periods. She has successfully been left for up to 3 hours.

She is in good health but has recently had some teeth that have required some attention. She will require some ongoing brushing to keep the remaining teeth nice and clean. This seems to be something she enjoys.
We will be truly sad to see Sally leave our home as she has given us so much joy, but we know she will make some other peoples lives that bit more magical with her unconditional love and goofiness.

Sally is currently in foster in Grantown on Spey

She is microchipped, neutered and comes with 5 weeks free pet insurance.
