Puma, the kindest greyhound you’ve ever met.
He’s a four year old handsome black and white greyhound that arrived into foster on 27 th September. He has gone into a foster home with a female greyhound and he is teaching Pickle a thing or two about being a good home hound!

Puma has been in a home environment before, he’s completely house trained and will let you know if he needs to go out. He’s non-destructive in the house, loves his bed, his foster home has introduced him to the joy of sofa’s and he manages the stairs easily. Pumba’s absolute favourite thing is zooming round the garden, his idea home should have an enclosed garden or area that he can regularly get his zoomie fix.

Puma is the friendliest greyhound who loves the company of anyone whether human or groo but he also appreciates his quiet (aka sleep) time. He has been regularly left at home for several hours with another
greyhound for company without incident. Puma loves living with Pickle, so much so his foster home think he would much prefer a home with another quiet dog for company but would not be suitable for a multi-dog household. He may be ok as a solo dog if it was a work from home scenario.

Puma is a fantastic dog to walk on the lead, occasionally he’ll bark at smaller dogs if they are off lead but has been unreactive with all dogs on his group walks. Like all retired greyhounds he would benefit from his
socialisation and training to be continued in his forever home.

Puma’s fosterers feel he is more unworldly than most greyhounds but he is an
absolute pleasure to work with and loved his first trip to a café.
Puma loves going to new places in the car and travels well. Puma enjoys his walks and he would benefit from a more active home that would commit to an longer walk twice a day as he gets in his current home otherwise he can begin to become vocal and cry.

Puma has spent some time with dog aware children between 4-8 years old, he was relaxed and unphased even when the children were excited. His foster mum feels because he appreciates his quiet time his ideal home is adult only but he would be entirely happy to have visiting children to provide him with snacks!

Puma is one of the kindest dogs his foster mum has ever had, he’s a handsome and loving greyhound that would make a wonderful additional to many homes. He would absolutely love a quiet forever home, with a
garden, that was committed to his training, socialisation and in return they would have the most loyal, loving hound.
