Sunday 6th May - The Bin Forest, Huntly

Time: 10:45 for 11:00 am

For May's walk we are heading to the other side of the county, to The Bin just outside Huntly.

Choose to do the short or long walk (Ferny Knowe Trail or Queen Tree Trail.) Both start with a short climb, then follow easy paths - the Queen Tree Trail adds on an extra loop. 

Do a sun dance, and bring a picnic as there are benches at the car park. The nearest toilets are a couple of miles down the road in Huntly.

The Bin is about 2 miles / 3.2 km north of Huntly on the A96. The (free) car park is signposted on the right with a brown sign to Forest Walks. 

Please note there are no poo bins, so we'll bring a bin bag to collect all our waste to dispose of.

Sunday 20th May - Quarrel Woods, Elgin

For the May Walk we are heading back to Quarrel Woods, Elgin. 

Meet at 10.45am ready to go at 11am.

The nearest postcode is IV30 8XT which takes you to a school turn off. Continue past this turning and the FCS car park is on the right.

Great Global Greyhound Walk 2018

GAGAH are proud to be hosting two walks for this incredible event which sees greyhounds coming together across the world! In 2017 a total of 5702 hounds attended one of the many organised walks. Meet 10.45 for 11am in the field next to the car park.
Parking is by donation.

Extra information: Any donations to Give a Greyhound a Home are welcome on the day. This is one of our favourite walks, with long and shorter options. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day! Please pick up poo and deposit in the bag we provide rather than filling up the poo bins.

The Moray Walk:

Roseisle Beach, Nr Elgin IV36 2UB

Meet 10.45 for 11am by the toilet block in the car park.
Parking charges: £1 for an hour, £1.50 for upto 3 hours.

Extra information: Any donations to Give a Greyhound a Home are welcome on the day. This exploration of the pine-clad dunes at Roseisle takes in the best bits of the woods, visits a bird hide, and takes in views of the sea, but also leaves plenty of time to enjoy the beach. The walk takes around 1 1/2 hours. Please ensure all hounds are kept on leads.
