Sunday 4th February - Newburgh Estuary

Time: 10:45 for 11:00 am

This a lovely walk combining woods and the beach so wrap up and be prepared to get the cobwebs blown away, the walk is about 1 1/2 hours although some folk have gone as far as they can and turned back.

DIRECTIONS:

Coming from the Peterhead direction, go past Ellon -Then come down the A90 going in the direction of Aberdeen -Turn Left at Fountainbleau, this goes straight down to Newburgh main street.Turn Left and go through Newburgh in the direction of Cruden Bay. Going out of Newburgh about 300 yards then the road bends to the right It then crosses over the RIVER YTHAN and the estuary Car Park is on the right hand side.

From Aberdeen go past Balmedie then a couple of miles later turn right off the main road on to the A975 heading for Newburgh. Go straight through and out of Newburgh, then about 300 yards the road bends to the right. It then crosses over the RIVER YTHAN and the estuary Car Park is on the right hand side.

No charge for the car park and no toilets.

Sunday 21st January - Culbin Forest

For the first Moray walk of the year we are heading to Culbin Forest.
 
Meet in the Welhill car park at 10.45am, read to go at 11am.
 
 
Directions:
Leave the A96 Inverness to Aberdeen road at Brodie, following the signs to Culbin. The main car park is at Wellhill.
Using Sat Nav, IV36 2TG is the nearest postcode.
