Monthly Walks are held in both Aberdeenshire and Moray and are a great opportunity to meet the hounds and chat to other hound owners. EVERYONE is always welcome! Each June GAGAH also hosts two Great Global Greyhound Walks. In 2017 an incredible 5702 dogs took park across the globe, can it be beaten in 2018? The 2018 GGGW is taking place on Sunday 10th June. GAGAH are excited to be hosting walks in both Aberdeenshire and Moray.

Online Events run in March and during the summer months. An Online Auction is held throughout March via the GAGAH Auction Facebook Page, featuring a fantastic selection of lots including pictures, jewellery, photoshoots, bespoke items and even holidays.

During July and August our Virtual Dog Show takes place, which gives you the opportunity to share amazing pictures of your hounds, but enables us to collect images to use in the GAGAH calendar. Enter via the website, or via the GAGAH Dog Show Facebook Page.

Fundraising Events are crucial if we are to continue to rescue as many Greyhounds and Lurchers as we can. We are always in need of volunteers to help out, whether at a Show, Collection Day or to use your own talents to raise funds! If you are interested in helping, please do email us.

Santa Paws Appeal - Collection Days

Pets at Home, Inverurie 

This is THE BIGGEST fundraiser of the year, and for it to be a success we need you!

We are delighted to once again be partnered with Pets at Home in Inverurie for this event. Whilst the amazing staff there work their socks off to raise funds, the presence of our hounds really does make a massive difference!

We are aiming to cover every Saturday from 24th November to 22nd December, with two slots on each day: 11 - 1pm and 1pm - 3pm.

How do you get involved? Its easy!

Check your diary. Let us know which Saturday and time slot you are able to cover by emailing

Bring your hounds along to the store and allow the good people of Inverurie to see what amazing pets they make. Talk greyhound/lurcher/saluki (we're all good at that!) Bust all the myths and have a laugh along the way.

If you want to get involved but cannot cover a Saturday slot just let us know - we are welcome to attend as many days as possible.


Our army of dedicated fundraisers continually go above and beyond, always coming up with innovative fundraising ideas to keep the money coming in. We have runners, crafters, jugglers; those who have sold sweets, cakes toys and even fish not forgetting the quiz nights, raffles, tombolas and work place collection.

The GAGAH community really are amazing!
