GAGAH Forum - Smooth haired sled dog !!!!!!!!!!

The weekend my grandkids were visiting we all went for a family walk nearby.Kids being kids got fed up with the sledge and I decided Reggie could ' earn his keep'
Bless him he is unphased by anything like this and never bothered about the scraping noise behind him. I think had I a harness on him he would have pulled the kids in the sledge, but we just had his collar and didn't want to choke him

When Josie and Meg were younger, we use to have Meg pulling her sledge and she loved it! We tried it last year with the boys and we basically had to pull them! Meggy wasn't able to pull the sledge last winter but still tried to run to keep up with the boys.
It was something great to watch, Josie and Meg together having great fun and both tired out in no time.

Must say I was sometimes VERY tempted to harness up the gang of six (well 5 as Romy would be let off), during all that awful snow, either that or get six huskies :-D But I'd have ended up doing the dragging while the hounds sat comfortably in the sled, as the gang were sooooo reluctant to get their delicate feet cold - speak about role reversal! :-P Of course if there were mad march hares around then, it might have worked :-D
