Patch

One of the most handsome boys ever. Patch was 8yrs old when he came to us. He wasn’t with us long when Anne and her family, from Aboyne had just passed their homevisit with flying colours. They just loved the sound of Patch and were here in a few days to take him home.

I remember so clearly how Patch was with them, it was quite spooky as it felt like he already knew them and had just been waiting for them to arrive to take him home. He toddled off into their car and the rest you can guess….yes, spoiled rotten and adored by his family and everyone who knew him. He was a star in Aboyne and such a lovely example of how wonderful these dogs are.

Sadly, in late October it was discovered that Patch had a cancerous tumour growing round his throat. Anne and her family had to make the brave decision of letting Patch go, they knew it was the kindest thing for him. They are heartbroken but have some amazing and happy memories of the time he was with them. He enjoyed 18mths of being treated like royalty.

Thank you for giving him such a wonderful retirement and for loving him so much.
